I’m, obviously, a dog lover myself and enjoy reading books where dogs are at least one of the main characters. I haven’t even come close, though, to reading all of them yet! If you’re a dog lover, we hope you consider some of our recommended books about dogs. And, if you know one, please share our list of books for dog lovers with friends and family. They’re a great gift idea!
We tried to rule out those books that show up on every dog book list. For example, Marley & Me. However, we still included some other classic books about dogs and their adventures. There are some novels here you may be hesitant to read, or haven’t heard of before, but try and be adventurous! After all, we are talking about dogs, and they’re all about adventure!
You can order these sentimental books about dogs in any format you want that are available, but I would suggest you try Audible for 30 days for free, if you’ve never tried it before. Both of my daughters swear by it and use it to listen to podcasts on road trips and use at the gym for workouts, etc. Plus, it makes “reading” totally hands-free!
