This blog was set up to support dog owners and their dogs. We’re here to help guide people on their personal journey with their beloved pups.
Our hope is that we inspire you to try new things, learn something more about your dog that you didn’t know before, and help us support our local animal shelters.

The Blessing of a Shelter Dog
We strongly believe in pet adoption. We have been blessed with so many wonderful rescue dogs in the past (and present). We’ve loved them all, dearly. These rescue dogs have been true blessings in our lives. Many of them have been soul dogs to me or someone else in our family. Dogs are so special. I truly believe these animals feel incredibly grateful for the love, attention, and care they receive, suddenly, by chance.
If you’ve never rescued a dog from a shelter, I highly recommend. Not only are you saving a life, but you might just find your new best friend and constant companion. Love is love.
We All Can Play a Small or Large Part
Helping can be adoption, volunteering, or donating money or goods. You can also visit the shelter to help socialize the animals. This includes animals like dogs and cats. By socializing them, they have a better shot at being adopted.
We have rescued our dogs for a lifetime. We have adopted many dogs and cats from shelters, rescues, and fosters over the years. I’ve always supported them in some way. I have shopped their gift shops, where 100% of profits went towards the shelter.
I donated all of our dog and cat gear. This included crates, clean toys, and dog and cat food. I did this anytime we were able to do so. We usually donated after we lost one of our precious pets. We’ve also picked items from a shelter’s wishlist to help, and gave cash donations to assist.
I emotionally struggle with the thousands of dogs that are still being euthanized throughout the country. I’m mortified that we haven’t improved those numbers over all of these years. Everyone can do something to help, in big or small ways. It all counts.
I can’t contribute much, but I’m donating 25% of any earnings from this blog to our local shelters. I have also added a tip link. You can scan the QR Code on the sidebar to donate. Alternatively, you can click here. 100% of all “tips” (donations) will also be donated to our local shelters.
